Make Use Of A Nicorette Inhaler

The Nicorette inhaler is a way of slowly weaning yourself off a nicotine addiction with continually lower doses. Make sure you stop smoking completely before beginning to use the Nicorette inhaler. The Nicorette inhaler's manufacturer recommends using between six and 12 cartridges each day for the first few weeks, but you should always consult your physician for specific instructions on use the inhaler before starting use; plan to use the inhaler as a way of reducing withdrawal symptoms and cravings as you continue in your efforts to avoid cigarettes altogether.

Instructions

1. Line the marks on the mouthpiece and end piece of the inhaler up, and pull the two parts apart.

2. Insert one nicotine cartridge into the mouthpiece of the inhaler--which end goes in first doesn't matter--then line the marks up and press the two pieces together again.

3. Twist the two parts of the mouthpiece, so the marks no longer line up; this seals the mouthpiece. The seals on the cartridge are automatically broken when you put the mouthpiece and end piece together.

4. Puff on the Nicorette inhaler just as you would puff on a cigarette. Always use the inhaler within 12 hours of inserting a cartridge, since the seal on the cartridge is automatically broken.

5. Separate the mouthpiece and end piece once you're done with the cartridge--each cartridge lasts about 20 minutes of puffing--and discard the used cartridge. Wash the inhaler mouthpiece with soap and water, then wipe dry or let air dry.
