Indications Of Diazapam Withdrawal

Withdrawing from Diazepam can make a person feel ill and have many warning signs.


Withdrawing from medications such as Diazepam, which is also known as Valium, is a serious condition. Withdrawing from this drug can cause many different kinds of problems with the body and mind, making a person feel much different than normal. There are many signs to look for to know if a person is withdrawing from this drug.


Personality Changes


Signs of depression are some of the withdrawal symptoms of Diazepam. Depression is a serious illness that affects the body, mood and thoughts of a person. Another personality change that can be caused from Diazepam withdrawals are panic attacks. Panic attacks come without warning and cause a person to feel scared, even terrified. The signs of a panic attack are a pounding heart or rapid heartbeat, tingling or numb hands and/or feet, chest pains, feeling smothered, chills or hot flashes, loss of control and confusion, irritability, shortness of breath, nausea and feeling dizzy, sweating, weak or faint.


Heart


Experiencing heart palpitations is a sign of Diazepam withdrawal. Heart palpitations are the feeling of an irregular or forceful heartbeat. Having a rapid heartbeat is another withdrawal symptom that involves the heart beating faster than normal, causing an uneasy feeling.


Brain


Headache, which is pain experienced in the face, head, neck or mouth, and feeling confused are symptoms that can occur when withdrawing from Diazepam. Memory loss can also occur when withdrawing, which is forgetfulness that is unusual in a person. Hallucinations are another possible withdrawal symptom.
