Quit Smoking Digitally

The electronic cigarette is one method of quitting smoking.

The electronic cigarette, or e-cigarette, is a new method for quitting smoking. The e-cigarette is "mechatronic," providing small amounts of nicotine with every puff. The e-cigarette is a cigarette-shaped rod that produces water vapor as opposed to smoke. It comes with replaceable filter cartridges in a variety of flavors. The e-cigarette works on a lithium battery and can be charged electronically, even from your car or computer. The e-cigarette feels like a real cigarette, minus the tar and other carcinogens found in smoking tobacco.

Instructions

1. Charge your e-cigarette battery.

2. Screw in the nicotine cartridge filter of your choosing.

3. Take the e-cigarette with you wherever you go. When you feel the urge to smoke, simply produce your e-cig and puff away. Because it produces no smoke, you can use your e-cigarette literally anywhere you go and still get your nicotine fix.

4. Cut down on your smoking gradually or completely quit by using the e-cigarette. According to an April 2009 article in the "Los Angeles Times," "A High-Tech Approach to Getting a Nicotine Fix," e-cigarettes are not marketed as a quit-smoking tool but as a smoking alternative. If you are motivated to quit, however, they could be just the alternative you need to make the change for good.
