Natural Methods To Remove Tobacco Stains

Tobacco stains can have negative effects on your personal appearance.


When people think of tobacco stains, they often think of stained teeth; however, tobacco can stain your fingers, clothing and your home. As cigarette usage continues to grow as of 2011 with over 47 million users, according to the American Council for Drug's Education, there is a growing concern on remove tobacco stains. Removing tobacco stains can help improve your personal appearance.


Tobacco Teeth Stains


Having tobacco stains on your teeth can alter your appearance and lower your self confidence. Tobacco stains can easily build up on your teeth. If you dread going to the dentist, you can clean the teeth stains at home. Make a mixture using the same amount of salt and baking soda. Apply the mixture directly to your teeth, making sure to avoid your gums. Then, wet your finger and rub the stains on your teeth. You should be able to see some results instantly. Repeat this cleaning method a few times each week to avoid stain buildup.


Finger Stains


If you are a longtime tobacco user, you may have noticed tobacco stains on your fingers. When you hold cigarettes for a long period of time, it can cause a stain on your fingers. As long as it took for you to get the stain on your finger, it can take just as long to remove it. Try a stain removal method each week until the finger stains are gone. Get some lemon juice, pumice stone and salt. Mix lemon juice and salt and rub the finger stains or rub your finger with lemon juice and rub with a pumice stone.


Clothing Stains


If you are a smoker, you may get tobacco stains on your clothing. The stains can affect your appearance and ruin your clothing. There are ways you can remove stains naturally from your clothing. Take a clean cloth and dip in vinegar and wipe the tobacco stain on your clothing. Then, rinse your clothing in warm water. Repeat the process if necessary.


Remove Tobacco Wall Stains


If you smoke in your home or office, there is a good possibility you have a brown substance covering your walls. Tobacco stains can leave your walls looking dull and discolored. The good news is that you can restore life to your walls. Make a solution with 1 cup of ammonia, 1/2 cup of liquid colorless detergent and 3 gallons of warm water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and wipe the walls in a circular motion. You may need to repeat until you have the results you want.
