Remove Mustache Hair

Remove Mustache Hair

Facial hair is not only a problem that men have to deal with, it is also an embarrassment for many women, especially when it appears as a light or even dark facial mustache. A mustache can mar an otherwise attractive appearance in a woman, adversely affect her self-confidence and making it difficult for her to apply make-up. To remove mustache hairs, there are temporary in-home treatments you can apply yourself, while other more permanent solutions are performed in a doctor's office or skin care clinic.

Instructions

1. Pluck your moustache hairs with a good pair of tweezers. Purchase stainless steel tweezers with slanted ends that are designed for plucking fine facial hairs. Always apply alcohol to your skin before you begin. Tweezing will remove your moustache hairs from the root, and slow-up the regrowth process. It may take several weeks before you need to pluck again.

2. Try waxing to remove your unwanted mustache hair. You can purchase wax for hair removal from a pharmacy or beauty supply store, or visit a spa to have the waxing treatment done for you. The wax will stick to the moustache hairs, and when removed, lift the mustache hairs out by the root. The treatment will last for around one month before the hairs begin growing in again.

3. Get laser treatments to permanently eliminate your mustache hairs. Laser treatments are performed by a dermatologist using an intense, pulsating beam of light that eventually destroys the hair follicles. It might take several treatments, but eventually your mustache will be permanently removed.

4. Consult an electrolysis technician about removing your facial moustache. A trained electrolysis technician inserts a thin metal probe into the unwanted hairs which shoots an electrical current into the follicles. After a few treatments, the follicles are unable to produce hair and your moustache won't grow back.
