Clean The Tobacco Smoke From The Bathroom Walls

Preserve the cleanliness of your bathroom by removing tobacco stains from the walls.

Most people are well aware of the harm that cigarette smoke causes to the human body. Not only does cigarette smoke damage the body, it can leaves brownish-yellow stains on walls as well. Cigarette smoke stains on bathroom walls can be tricky to remove, especially if the smoke has built up on the walls over time. Use the proper products and methods to effectively clean bathroom walls of nicotine stains without compromising the integrity of the walls themselves.

Instructions

Borax and Ammonia

1. Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of hot water. Add ½ cup borax powder, ½ tsp. non-bleach, grease-cutting dish soap and 1 tbsp. household ammonia.

2. Dip a rag into the bucket of cleaning solution. Wring the rag out well to avoid applying excessive moisture to the walls.

3. Scrub the walls with the rag and cleaning solution. Rinse and wring out the rag frequently during cleaning.

4. Wipe down the walls with a rag dampened with plain water to rinse off any residue.

Lemon Juice or Vinegar

5. Fill an empty spray bottle with undiluted lemon juice or distilled white vinegar. Spray a generous amount of the solution onto the nicotine-stained walls.

6. Allow the solution to sit on the walls for two to three minutes. Scrub the walls with a rag. Use a scrub brush for tough-to-remove cigarette smoke stains. Apply more lemon juice or vinegar, if necessary, while scrubbing.

7. Wipe down the walls with a rag dampened with plain water.
