The Estradiol Patch, also known as Estrace, Climara and Estraderm, is prescribed to women as treatment for women in menopause. Other uses for the Estradiol Patch include bone fracture prevention and reducing the risk of heart attacks, stroke and uterine bleeding.
Instructions
1. Apply the patch on a nonoily, undamaged and clean area of your skin. Do not place the patch on your breast or on an area exposed to sunlight. Press the patch firmly on your skin for about ten seconds to ensure the patch is applied correctly.
2. Replace the patch twice a week, or follow the directions provided by your doctor. Remove the patch slowly when it is time to change the patch. Dispense with the patch where a child or pet could not reach it.
3. Apply a new patch to an unused area of skin to prevent skin irritation. Rotate areas of skin with at least one week in between patch applications.
