Cleanse Body Of Smoking Cigarettes

Smoking has a tremendous negative effect on the body since the nicotine attacks almost all the vital organs. Besides the nicotine, carbon dioxide that is inhaled while smoking also ravages the body. Other harmful substances are hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, sulfur and nitrogen oxide. All these gradually reduce the ability of the body to absorb oxygen and as a direct result the cells in the body die a slow agonizing death. The first step to cleanse your body of these negative elements is to stop smoking.

Instructions

1. Take your family into confidence and work out a plan to help you stop smoking. Inform all your close friends about this decision so you will not be tempted during the initial period, which is often critical.

2. Obtain the advice and help of your family medical practitioner, especially with regard to withdrawal symptoms and nicotine craving problems. There are special courses of acupuncture, herbal healing as well as detoxification available. Educate yourself and choose the one which suits you best. This is a very important step, as whatever you choose should complement your style of living and working.

3. Drink plenty of water, which will flush out the toxins and remove the hoarseness from your voice due to irritated throat. Adopt foods rich in anti-oxidants into your diet because these are the best helpers in detoxification of the body. You also need to include plenty of fruits and vegetables into your new diet. One of the worst parts of the body affected by smoking, besides the lungs, is the excretory system. Its function can be improved by adding foods with high fiber content, which would also help in the flushing out of the built-up toxins from the body.

4. With the advice of your medical practitioner include anti-oxidant supplements into your diet. This would intensify the removal of the free radicals from your body, fast-forwarding your body's recovery.

5. Add at least 20 to 30 minutes of exercise in your daily routine. This is a very important, yet most neglected part of the recovery from smoking effects. Exercising helps in removing toxins, and improves the cardiovascular system and the nervous system. If nothing else, just walk briskly for 20 minutes every day on your way to and back from your office or market.
