Identify Tobacco Smoke Residue

Cigarette smoke residue
is the noxious remains from the burning of tobacco, and it contains many dangerous chemicals. Smoke residue is not only dangerous to those with health issues but can also seep into electronic devices and cause them to fail. It is necessary to detect where the cigarette smoke residue is so that it can be cleaned away. This detection requires using your eyes and washcloths and taking the time to go over every part of your house.

Instructions

1. Take a white washcloth moistened in water and wipe it against your couch. Examine the washcloth for discoloration, indicating that the couch has cigarette smoke residue. Repeat the process with all the furniture in the house. Toss the washcloth away and use a new one after testing each piece of furniture.

3. Take a white washcloth moistened in water and wipe it against a window of the house. Examine the washcloth for cigarette smoke tar and residue. Repeat the process with all the windows in the house. Toss the washcloth away and use a new one after testing each window.
