Lorcet is a brand name for a compound of hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Other brand names that contain this combination are Lortab, Norco and Vicodin. The Lorcet pill contains two active ingredients with different rates of leaving the body through the urine. The rate will be determined by various factors, but there is no way to accelerate this process--the body will absorb and excrete the drugs in its own time.
Hydrocodone
Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid. Other drugs, such as acetaminophen, are often effective in complementing hydrocodone's pain regulation or cough suppression. Combining hydrocodone with another drug can achieve the same benefits while relying less on the opiate, which is addictive.
Hydrocodone will generally leave the body and be undetectable in urine two to eight days after it is consumed. This will vary depending on frequency of use, metabolism, age, weight, and health.
Acetaminophen
Acetaminophen is an over-the-counter pain reliever and fever suppressant. It is one of the oldest and most trusted medications. It is not considered one of the "drugs of abuse," so its detection would not cause someone to fail drug screening. Acetaminophen, if tested, would be detectable in urine for three or four days.
