Nicotrol Inhaler Directions

Nicotrol inhalant can increase your chances of quitting smoking.

Nicotrol is a prescription inhalant used to increase your chances of quitting smoking. It's composed of a plastic tube with nicotine cartridges inside. Each prescription contains 42 nicotine cartridges and it delivers vaporized nicotine which is absorbed through the mouth and upper esophagus. When air is inhaled through this plastic tube, a controlled amount of nicotine is delivered to help reduce nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Vaporized nicotine is absorbed at a lower rate than regular cigarettes and nicotine levels peak 10 to 15 minutes after your last puff. For optimal results, use the inhalant frequently for 20 or more minutes and you may use six to 16 cartridges per day to relieve withdrawal symptoms. Be sure to follow your doctor's instructions while taking this medication.
