3. Drink fruit and vegetable juices. Fresh citrus or apple juices are good choices as well as black currant juice. Carrot juice is recommended as a vegetable juice, along with beet or asparagus juice. These should be freshly prepared juices to get the most benefit from them.


4. Accelerate the elimination of toxins from your body through fasting on juice. Consult a doctor or nutritionist before beginning any fasts.

6. Other vitamins that can help are a vitamin-B complex with additional B-12, which is needed for proper liver function. The liver is important for detoxification processes.


Also, vitamin-E will help protect your cells and organs from damage done by smoking and nicotine toxicity.


7. Coenzyme Q-10 is another antioxidant to take to protect cells and lungs. It also protects the heart tissue that is damaged by smoking and nicotine in the bloodstream.


Herbs


8. Take herbs such as catnip, lobelia or valerian root. Nicotine is a highly addictive chemical, with dependency compared to that of cocaine or heroin. When your body does not get this toxic chemical, you may experience withdrawal symptoms, including anxiety, nervousness and tremors, as well as cravings.


The herbs can calm you and help reduce these symptoms. They can be taken as a tea, which is also relaxing, or a supplement.
