Buy Prescription Medications In Mexico

Buy Prescription Drugs in Mexico

With health care prices soaring in the United States, many people are turning to alternative solutions for purchasing prescription drugs such as buying them online or visiting Mexico where prescription drugs can be bought over the counter. The prices on prescription drugs vary, however you can count on them easily being a third less expensive or even more. Most of the prescription medications sold in Mexico are produced by the exact same companies that produce them for the United States.

Instructions

1. Do some research. Do a search engine search for your prescription medication name and the word "Mexico." Many medications are available in Mexico but are called by another name. If you can find the Mexican name, it will be a lot easier when you get to the pharmacy where many employees don't speak English.

2. Decide on generic or name brand. Just like the United States, Mexico has a strong market for generic medications. Different pharmacies sell different types of medication. Some only sell generic and others only sell name brand. Make sure you know what you want so you know where to go to get it.

3. Write it all down. Make a list of all the medications you want along with the dosage. Because you do not need a prescription for most medications, overdosing or taking the wrong amount can be a real danger. Divide your list into generic and name brand.

4. Go to Mexico. You can buy prescription drugs in border towns like Nogales or Tiajuana, but you'll have a much nicer time and get a better price if you go someplace in the country like Puerto Vallarta, Cancun or Ixtapa.

5. Find the right pharmacy. Mexico has stores like Costco, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, so you can visit the pharmacy there if you like. There are also pharmacies in the local supermarkets. These places will most likely only sell the name brand product. When looking for the generic pharmacy, look for the words "similares" or "intercambiables" which denote generic.
